Gardening Volunteers Needed!

Looking for a way to give back to your community and be outside while supporting a good cause?

We are currently seeking a Client Services Coordinator to join our team. The successful applicant will be working with the Sea to Sky Hospice Society to build upon the valuable work that has been done over the past years. You will be contributing in a meaningful way to supporting the Sea to Sky community.

March is the time to renew your annual membership. At the AGM last year, we passed a resolution that all memberships will run from April 1 to March 31 to coincide with the fiscal year end. If you purchased a membership last fall or more recently, your membership will be grandfathered into this coming year. Your membership enables us to provide compassionate care to those facing life limiting illness or experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.

Come out tomorrow, Saturday June 24th from 8am until noon, at Alice Lake, to watch Katie Coombs and the other swimmers of ‘Swim Wild’ as they swim in support of the Sea to Sky Hospice Society! All of the funds that she raises will go towards supporting the programs and services of the Hospice Society.

We are so grateful for this ‘third party’ fundraising initiative being done on our behalf, thank you Katie for thinking of us!

We are one week into our month of fundraising for the programs and services that we offer to the Sea to Sky community.  Join us today by creating a team in support of hospice or make a donation to help us reach our goal of $40,000! We are excited to report that the biking, hiking and running communities have all formed teams, and now the Squamish Seniors Line Dance Troop have joined as well! Thank you to the Sea to Sky Singers, Squamish’s community choir for providing uplifting and beautiful songs to the residents in the hospice unit. Your lovely voices and beautiful music bring smiles to our days and we are so grateful that you stopped by this past week. Your voices add so much compassion to the care that is provided to the residents during their stay.

Please note, we had incorrectly  named the group as the Anglican Church Choir and have now corrected it for this post.

Once again the Sea to Sky Hospice Society is very grateful to be the recipient of a gift of wonderful of quilts. These beautiful quilts have been handmade by the ladies of the local Squamish Quilters Guild. They will be used to provide comfort and warmth to persons receiving care through the Hospice Society services and also will be used as a means of raising funds for our programs.

A big shout out of thanks to Fox and Oak for sharing their amazing doughnuts with our Squamish Drop in Grief Group for their first and last sessions of a six week series. Thank you for supporting your community through our programs and services, we are very grateful.
