The Sea to Sky Hospice Society continues to support the Squamish Volunteer Drivers for Cancer Program.
This amazing service nearly came to a halt in 2015 when the Canadian Cancer Society cancelled its funding of the program. As a rural community with many members needing cancer treatments in the city, the end of this program would have been a huge loss. The Sea to Sky Hospice Society is pleased to have been able to offer a solution for keeping this program alive.
Bringing the Volunteer Drivers for Cancer Program under our wing, the group is able to accept donations and is supported by Sea to Sky Hospice Society volunteer bookkeepers. This collaboration has ensured that countless community members have a supportive ride to and from their treatment appointments.
