The Sea to Sky Hospice Society had a booth at the 25th annual Brackendale Fall Fair this past weekend. A huge round of applause to the wonderful volunteers that came out to assist with selling many pieces of artwork as we worked to raise funds for the programs and services that are provided for free to the Sea to Sky Community.

There was a fantastic turn out of people enjoying the day, kids rolling in the hay, racing zucchini boats and sampling delicious food. We sold many of our donated pieces and enjoyed telling interested people about the art and the Hospice Society services.

A big thank you to AJ of Canadian Tire for kindly donating two big folding tables that provided space for us to work off of, selling memberships and displaying artwork. Thanks for your support AJ!

Thank you to the Sea to Sky Singers, Squamish’s community choir for providing uplifting and beautiful songs to the residents in the hospice unit. Your lovely voices and beautiful music bring smiles to our days and we are so grateful that you stopped by this past week. Your voices add so much compassion to the care that is provided to the residents during their stay.

Please note, we had incorrectly  named the group as the Anglican Church Choir and have now corrected it for this post.

Anne Babuin, Diana Gunstone and Carlee Baker show off the beautiful new quilts.

Once again the Sea to Sky Hospice Society is very grateful to be the recipient of a gift of wonderful of quilts. These beautiful quilts have been handmade by the ladies of the local Squamish Quilters Guild. They will be used to provide comfort and warmth to persons receiving care through the Hospice Society services and also will be used as a means of raising funds for our programs.

Thank you Squamish Quilters Guild and Anne Babuin!
