Georgia Clare Hybner
Sunrise: May 19, 1975. Sunset: March 16, 2022
It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Georgia Clare Hybner on March 16, 2022 at the Sea to Sky Hospice, Squamish in the arms of her mum – Mother Merilynne – partner – Steve Toulch and others who loved her.
Georgia was born overlooking the sea in Manly Hospital in Sydney, Australia to Merilynne and Herbert Hybner. The sea remained vital to her as she lived, surfed and swam on the northern beaches with her brothers Nicholas and Adrian and later on Vancouver Island and in Barbados.
Her love of skiing brought her to Canada. In summer her energy and fitness led easily to mountain biking, where she met her beloved partner Steve, eight years ago.
She lived her dream, ultimately purchasing a number of properties, each one a little bigger and better than the last. Georgia extended her own expertise in interior decorating and design by establishing her own award winning business – Whistler Staging – which has grown massively over the last three years.
Georgia’s long battle with cancer started in September 2017 where she began a series of operations and intrusive treatments for her condition. In between she remained optimistic, generous, kind, considerate and energetic. A successful business and sports woman, her radiant smile and spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
Georgia is survived by and will be dearly missed by her partner Steven Toulch, mother Merilynne Johnson, brothers Nicholas and Adrian Hybner, auntie Louise Johnson, stepfather Glen White and many other dear friends and colleagues.
We would also like to express our gratitude for the exceptional care provided at the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Community Hospice and by the Sea to Sky Hospice Society. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through our online donation form or to 38140 Behrner Drive, Squamish, BC V8B 0J3
