Jim Moore, husband, father, and dad was an outdoor enthusiast who loved biking and the mountains. While living his final days at the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice unit the team was inspired to get him up the gondola for one last look at the beauty of the Howe Sound from the gorgeous view points at the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola.
On May 21, prior to their grand re-opening, the kind and generous team of the Sea to Sky Gondola were contacted and immediately they replied with a YES and how can we help. Swiftly and thoughtfully the Gondola team prepared the details for the Moore family arrival including extra touches such as a set table with snacks, and gifts for the grandkids.
The Sea to Sky Hospice Society wishes to thank the Sea to Sky Gondola and their team for their heartfelt generosity and kindness. We would also like to send our love and condolences to the Moore family. It was an honour to journey with each of you through J’s end of life. We continue to be here for support.
The Moore Family was supported by the Palliative Care team which includes, home and community nursing team, the Sea to Sky Hospice Society and the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice nursing and medical team, and physicians for many months.
