Art and Music soothe the soul, and when someone is in the final stage of life it is important to honour each of these gifts.

We are excited to announce the launch of the new Sea to Sky Hospice Society Art Catalogue. This catalogue allows the viewer a glimpse of some of the beautiful pieces of artwork that has been donated or loaned to the Hospice Society for the enjoyment of those staying in the hospice.

Click here to view the Art Catalogue

As you flip through the pages of the catalogue you will see work of many different, talented and mostly local artists that have created lovely pieces of art. We hope that you enjoy the artwork that is a reflection of the natural beauty that surrounds us in the Sea to Sky corridor.

Please check back throughout the year to see as more artwork is added to the catalogue.

If there is one universal truth it is that we all die regardless of race, wealth or religion.

The Sea to Sky Hospice Society was built on the foundation that the end of life experience should be honoured and supported, offering dignity and respect to each individual through the natural experience of dying.

Our mission states that we provide compassionate care to support quality of life for all people of all cultures. As a society, we do not tolerate racism.

We are open to continual learning and action in our endeavour to honour individual and cultural needs of those living with life limiting illness, the dying, as well as their families and caregivers.

To our Sea to Sky Community, we from the Sea to Sky Hospice Society (previously known as the Squamish Hospice Society) would like to say thank you for your support and assistance with helping us get to where we are today.  With your generosity and advocacy, this past year saw the opening of our new facility, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice.  As a Hospice Society this facility represents an expansion of our existing community services which includes: Volunteer Visiting, Vigil Support in the last 48 hours of life, Caregiver Support, Yoga for Grievers & Caregivers, Tea Service at SGH Oncology Clinic, Drop in & Closed Bereavement Support Groups, Bereavement Walks, 1 on 1 Grief Counselling, Infant Loss Kits and support to our community partners.

As our reality changes daily with news and updates on COVID-19, the Society is working to adapt. We are looking into ways to provide support to our Sea to Sky communities, specifically those caring for loved ones at end of life and those living through grief and loss. We appreciate your patience as we investigate how supports can be offered while still keeping everyone safe.

Again we would like to thank you all for your generosity and support over the many years. We wish everyone well as we, Sea to Sky Community members, work to move through these uncertain times with grace and dignity.

Visit the VCH website for updates on COVID-19

Sea-to-Sky-Hospice-Society-Grand-Opening

The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice has officially opened!

Yesterday marked the realization of a dream long in the making! The culmination of years of work, fundraising, advocating, networking and speaking the need for a dedicated space for Sea to Sky community members to live out their final days if home is not an option for them. We thank all those people over all these many years for helping make this dream a reality! The Squamish Hospice Society looks forward to expanding our programs to offer an extra layer of support to this beautiful new facility.
