A big thank you to Ingo Fanslau of Pepe’s Chop House, Chef Paramjit Gill, and Trish James of Stylezone Fashions & Evolucion Clothing for the delicious food and wonderful entertainment at the recent fundraising evening for the Sea to Sky Hospice Society. Your hard work and dedication to the local community helped us raise $4,000, and we are truly grateful!

For those of you who missed it, Jody Kramer, the Client Services Coordinator, spoke with Darren McPeake of Mtn FM Radio fame, this past Tuesday to share insights about the upcoming events and fall programs being offered by the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.

We wanted to share Jody’s interview with you here, so that you too, could learn about what is on the fall schedule.

Thank you for your support Darren, Mtn. FM and Jody Kramer for all that you do on behalf of the Hospice Society!

This past week we held our first mini-training session: Facilitating a Grief & Loss Walking Group

Facilitating a Grief & Loss Walking Group is such an impactful way to support others. Carlee Baker’s insights were invaluable, especially in sharing practical tips for facilitating these sensitive discussions. This was a great opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers and learn from their experiences as well. These kinds of sessions really help build confidence and foster a supportive community.

Our palliative volunteer training is scheduled for mid-November. This 35 hour training will provide you with the tools and resources needed to provide compassionate care to those facing life limiting illness or experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.

Caroline generously shared two wonderful quilts that she made for us to use for fundraising and to have as a bed warmer in the hospice unit.

Thank you for your gift Caroline, we are honoured by your generosity.
