DESCRIPTION:Please join us to cut up some “kits” of fabric to create Celestial Bags for our patients’ families. After a loved one passes away\, our medical staff give them a handmade quilted bag\, with grief resource materials and any of the patient’s items from their room. DESCRIPTION:Grief and Loss Art Exploration \nWhen there are no words\, sometimes art can open the heart. In this small closed group\, Vancouver Art Therapy Institute practicum student Angela Walsh Noble provides an inclusive and supportive environment in which to gain confidence to creatively explore grief and loss\, and to heal. Participants will use a variety of materials. No art experience necessary\, and all materials are provided. Sea to Sky Hospice Society provides a bereavement support volunteer during this session. \nPemberton resident Angela Walsh Noble holds both a BFAH and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University\, and an M.Ed. in Art Education from UBC.
