SUMMARY:Introduction to Estate Planning
DESCRIPTION:Join Eddie Carter of Race & Co and James Sparling of Vocari Financial Services for an insightful introduction to Estate Planning and the Tax Benenfits of Charitable Giving. \nDiscover why this crucial planning is essential for your financial future. Eddie and James will cover topics such as acting as an executor\, attorney\, and a healthcare representative\, as well as the legal and tax aspects of estate planning and all avenues of charitable donation planning. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to learn how to protect your assets and support your loved ones! \n  \nAbout Eddie: \nEddie Carter grew up in Vancouver\, enjoying the surrounding outdoors in Squamish and Whistler. After graduating from Bishop’s University in Quebec\, he worked in the tourism industry in Whistler for several years before attending law school at the University of Saskatchewan. \nAfter moving to Squamish in 2010 and articling at a local law firm\, he worked at a boutique North Vancouver law firm specializing in solicitors’ practice. Eddie joined Race & Company LLP in January 2020\, and was extremely grateful to cut out his commute to spend more time in his adopted hometown. He’s passionate about helping his clients navigate buying their first home\, scaling up their business and making important decisions about their estate planning. \nWhen not working\, Eddie can be found (laboriously) towing his two small children in a chariot while nordic skiing\, backcountry snowboarding\, mountain biking\, and playing hockey. He is a proud and active member of the Squamish business community\, and is a director of the Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association. He also spent five years as a volunteer firefighter with Squamish Fire Rescue. \nAbout James: \nAs a former professional cyclist on our national team\, I know it takes determination to reach your goals. I’m proud to be part of a team that helps clients achieve their financial goals and I provide clients with excellent service. With a deep understanding of the Squamish lifestyle\, I take pride in helping people live life on their terms. My diverse background in the financial industry sets me apart when helping people find the holistic insurance and investment solutions that are right for them.
