DESCRIPTION:Come join facilitator Shalissa Forestell with the Whistler Community Services Society as she guides participants on an hour-long walk together. All types of grief and bereavement are welcome in this group\, where we chat\, stigma-free\, about how grief is happening in our lives. Whether your loss is recent or many years past\, staff and Hospice volunteers can help to find ways to talk\, or to walk in quiet kindness\, while benefiting from the beauty of the forest and the fresh air it gives. \nWe meet\, rain or shine\, at Alpine Cafe in Alpine Meadows\, Whistler\, every Thursday at 1pm from April 16th to May 21st. We walk for approximately 45 minutes\, and those who wish may continue their conversations over coffee and treats back at the Cafe. \n

DESCRIPTION:When words can’t describe what we are feeling\, using art materials can help. Join us for a five-week peer support program\, taking place every Thursday evening in April from 6-8pm\, in the Art Room at the 55+ Centre. Experienced facilitators guide participants through various materials-based activities to find ways to express grief\, in a safe space with a small (maximum 8) group of participants. \nRegistration is required in order to keep the group small.
