SUMMARY:Squamish Bereavement Walking Group
DESCRIPTION:Every Thursday morning\, we meet at 10am in front of the Squamish Adventure Centre for a 45-minute gentle forest walk\, followed by a casual coffee shop chat at Cafe Garibaldi. \nThis group welcomes those who are in grief\, giving opportunities to talk about your loss\, whether it is recent\, whether several anniversaries have passed\, or even if it is an ongoing\, stretched-out anticipatory grief. SUMMARY:Whistler Grief & Bereavement Walking Group
DESCRIPTION:Come join facilitator Shalissa Forestell with the Whistler Community Services Society as she guides participants on an hour-long walk together. All types of grief and bereavement are welcome in this group\, where we chat\, stigma-free\, about how grief is happening in our lives. Whether your loss is recent or many years past\, staff and Hospice volunteers can help to find ways to talk\, or to walk in quiet kindness\, while benefiting from the beauty of the forest and the fresh air it gives. \nWe meet\, rain or shine\, at Alpine Cafe in Alpine Meadows\, Whistler\, every Thursday at 1pm from April 16th to May 21st. We walk for approximately 45 minutes\, and those who wish may continue their conversations over coffee and treats back at the Cafe. \n

SUMMARY:Bereavement Support Group and Workshops
DESCRIPTION:This is a bereavement support group that invites in a range of speakers for six weeks of two-hour evening workshops\, to provide skills for the mourner. Guests will share knowledge and experience on various topics. Experienced volunteer facilitators will guide the group\, giving access to peer support while also learning together and building skills in navigating grief. Participants come from various grief experiences. \nSessions take place from 6-8pm in the 55+ Centre Art Room in Squamish\, every Thursday evening from May 7th to June 11th\, 2026. \nThis group has a maximum of 12 participants for each session\, and registration is needed.
